Copy of the tape, printout of the tape, electronic copy of the tape.

And I=E2=80=99ve found a Bonhams=E2=80=99 sale of an intellec 4 mod back =
in 2018 =E2=80=93 with actual tapes!!!

Hi Sid

I know a few vintage advocates in Melbourne area, let me ask if they can =
help. I can=E2=80=99t imagine the museum letting this out of their =
sight.

I think I have contacted and got a response from the museum before, at =
least I am on your mailing list.=20

I don=E2=80=99t think I have seen a copy of the assembler, Jon keeps up =
on software and what is available on bill=E2=80=99s site. But I agree =
it would be a great starting point for the 4004 version.

Craig

  Just a thought...

Do you have access to a copy of the intellec 8 mod 80 RAM based =
assembler?

I=E2=80=99m still trying to find the 4 mod 40 version, but a light =
bulb moment over the weekend triggered the thought that reverse =
engineering the 8080 flavour would give a lot of hints and tips on a DIY =
version for the 4040.

(20+ years of 8085/Z80 programming would help me...)

There are TWO copies in a computing wing of a museum =E2=80=93 in =
Melbourne, Australia... Bit far to travel.

  https://collections.museumsvictoria.com.au/items/1712677

Plaintive requests have been sent winging to Oz, but I=E2=80=99ve not =
heard anything back yet.

The 8080 version would be of use to intellec 8 mod 80 fans over this =
side of the pond.

And a decent job of reverse assembling the original would benefit the =
wider community, IMHO.

  Comments, please!

  Regards

  Sid

  Hi Jon, Mattis, & Sid

  =20

I am not sure you are all aware of each other yet=E2=80=A6 but I think =
everyone has some level of interest in making one or more of the =
reproduction boards for the intellect and, since you are somewhat close =
together, it may make sense to order boards directly from the board =
house and redistribute amongst yourselves. Sid and Jon are in the UK, =
Mattis is in Sweden=E2=80=94two of my favorite countries to visit by the =
way.

  =20

As for the boards, I have been distracted lately but hope to get back =
to get them fully tested. the PROM, RAM, Motherboard, and 8008 CPU all =
look OK, I need to build and test the 8080 CPU and a simple card =
extender board. I haven=E2=80=99t even started a front panel board or =
either of the I/O boards and have no intention yet to make the eprom =
programming board. I expect the remaining boards may continue to drag =
out, or maybe someone else will decide to make them before me.

  =20

If Sid and Mattis have not joined the intel development google group, =
that remains to be the most centralized and deepest well of information.

  =20

  regards to all,
