So, I got the SBC 8085 build and the 8755 programm= ed successfully with the for 2K bytes of your MON85.hex file. However, I can= =E2=80=99t quite figure out the serial settings. I have the 6.144 MHz crysta= l, and I have tried 2400 baud 8-1-E serial connection, but all I get is gibb= erish. I=E2=80=99ve varied around those settings and not quite getting someo= ne legible when I reset the computer. Something is coming across, so I am gu= ess I I have my serial settings wrong. What are you using for serial setting= s?

Yes, the 8185-2 is a sele= cted higher speed version if you are running a 8085AH-2 CPU at full speed. &= nbsp; Are you F8 ding the -2 version to be more readily available? Makes sen= se since they are the most recent version. I am not sure what versions I hav= e since I am only running the slower 8085A. The monitor serial delays a= re for 6.144MHz crystal (2400 baud). I need to add all of that to the u= sers manual.

I have not tested the little inverter, I thi= nk I have some on order and an test this week. The ones I ordered are S= OT353 and I presume I ordered the correct ones. I should know in the c= oming days when my Digi-Key order arrives. Adding that inverter to all= ow the 8155 was an afterthought so not much thought was put into it.

Well, I am not quite retired yet,= but I totally understand and am in no hurry myself. If you look at my own video schedule you=E2=80=99ll see i= t takes me months to get one video out. This is all just for fun only when I= have spare time. Kids, wife, work, yard =E2=80=A6 all come first.

I tried soldering a surface mou= nt 8085 the other day and I can=E2=80=99t believe I used to do that without g= lasses, let alone a magnifier lens.

While I am at the point where I need multiple glasses for= different scenarios (driving, computer, reading, etc), I don=E2=80=99t quit= e need them yet for soldering. It=E2=80=99s coming, I know.
